Carnival Connect designs an online customized scheduling site for your masqueraders on the behalf of your band.

BEFORE CARNIVAL
schedule
bookings
Masqueraders can book their costume collection times online via your band’s Carnival Connect customized page.
Bookings are scheduled in 3-minute intervals based on your agreed upon Distribution Schedule.
Each masquerader will be identified using their costume number, which will serve as the unique identifier.
Masqueraders must create an account with Carnival Connect in order to book a collection time. With this account, masqueraders can cancel or reschedule their bookings as long as there is an open slot.
What your masqueraders see
Masqueraders will choose a booking time and enter the following information on your band's customized Carnival Connect Page:
-
Name
-
Email
-
Costume number (Unique ID)
-
Band section
-
Costume already paid in full (Yes/No)
-
Costume Pick-Up? If you, enter "self" or name of designee
Masqueraders will receive an email with the following information:
-
Confirmation of booking
-
Location of pick-up
-
What to do when arriving (check-in procedures)
-
What to do if need to reschedule
-
What to do when arriving late
This information will also be on the site for the masqueraders.
online check-in service
Masquerader bookings will automatically sync and appear on your Online Check-In Service. A confirmation email will also be sent to the band’s designated email address.
Masqueraders must be at the costume distribution location at least 5 minutes prior to their appointment.
Masqueraders will receive an appointment reminder email one (1) day prior to their scheduled booking.
Your Distribution Schedule can be changed up to 30 days before your event date.
What your masqueraders see
website integration
Within 15 business days of receiving information and initial payment from your band, the Distribution Schedule will be available for viewing and editing.
Your Distribution Schedule will have a custom Carnival Connect website link that your web admin can link on the Ultimate Mas platform, using the “Costume Collection” button. If your band does not utilize the Ultimate Mas platform, the link can be easily integrated into a website of your choice (payment site or band site).
Your band will dictate when your Carnival Connect page "goes live" to your masqueraders, allowing them to book using the online Distribution Schedule.

DAY OF COSTUME DISTRIBUTION
online check-in service
As masqueraders book their collection times, your Carnival Connect account automatically populates an online check-in service for your band to use on distribution days.
Your band can use this service to check in all masqueraders even if they don't use Carnival Connect to schedule a collection time.
Carnival Connect automatically creates an online masquerader card as masqueraders book a collection time. The title of each masquerader card contains the masquerader's costume number, the booking time & date, and the payment status. Each card contains the booking details of that masquerader. The cards are then filed under the appropriate distribution day.
checking-in
Once a masquerader arrives at the distribution location on distribution day, he/she must “check-in” via the front desk attendant. Using the Online Check-In Service, the front desk attendant will assign the masqueraders to a Terminal for
actual check-in by using their online masquerader card.
As a terminal attendant completes checking in a masquerader, the terminal attendant will then move the online masquerader card to the "Completed Check-In" list. This lets the front desk attendant know that that terminal is ready to check-in another masquerader. The front desk attendant can then assign another masquerader to a terminal for actual check-in using another online masquerader card.
if a masquerader is late
If a masquerader is late for an appointment, then he/she must either wait until a free spot opens up in the schedule that day or wait until the end of the day to be seen.
overflow day
It’s suggested that each band have a last “overflow” day for costume distribution for masqueraders that are unable to get their costumes via the Distribution Schedule.
Your band is only charged for the bookings scheduled on the days of your Distribution Schedule. Unless your band requests for the overflow day to be on the Distribution Schedule, there won't be any bookings scheduled that day, and your band won't be charged.

Carnival Connect will provide band reports after the event to provide analytical information.
